Great-Grandfather was a Buffalo Soldier in South Dakota

My great-grandfather was David Sheppard, he was a Buffalo Soldier who married my great-grandmother Esther Garreau on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota. My great-grandmother Esther was also part French.
