The Museum recently opened applications for the 2018 NMAAHC Interpretation Workshop (pdf), a professional development opportunity in interpretive training for museum professionals dedicated to the study or appreciation of the African Diaspora and African American life, art, history, and culture.
This unique professional development opportunity is geared toward museum professionals who are engaged in historical and cultural interpretation or a closely related field, with career aspirations that involve the field of interpretation. The workshop will be held Sunday, January 28 – Saturday, February 3, 2018 at James Island County Park in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Museum is looking for dedicated interpreters to make up this year’s cohort. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Visit our Strategic Partnerships Opportunities for more information.
