Written especially for young readers, Becoming Kareem chronicles how Kareem Abdul-Jabbar became the icon and legend he is today, both on and off the court. Former NBA player, Activist and Author; Etan Thomas will moderate the discussion. NMAAHC’s Curator of Sports, Damion Thomas will also join conversation.  Copies of Becoming Kareem and We Matter: Athletes and Activism by  Etan Thomas will be available for sale and signing courtesy of Smithsonian Enterprises.
