Based on the life of iconic freedom fighter Harriet Tubman, Focus Features' biopic Harriet follows Tubman on her escape from slavery and subsequent missions to free dozens of enslaved men and women through the Underground Railroad. Janelle Monae, Joe Alwin and Cynthia Erivo star in the film. Produced by The Earl and Amanda Stafford Center of African American Media Arts and NMAAHC Public Programs.
