About this Event

The National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) is the first museum on the National Mall designed to reduce the impact on the environment by using renewable energy sources. NMAAHC uses solar panels on its roof to capture the energy from the sun and convert it into usable electricity.

Our hands-on activities are designed to teach visitors about solar power and the factors that affect energy production.
