An ode is a poem that praises an individual, an idea, or an event.
Join NMAAHC Museum Specialist, Tulani Salahu-Din and international slam poetry champion, Anthony McPherson to explore the art of poetry and history. In this workshop, participants will look at examples of odes, and spend time composing an individual work inspired by the life of writer and activist, James Baldwin.
No experience necessary. Registration is required as space is limited.
