The Museum's Associate Director of Curatorial Affairs, Dr. Dwandalyn Reece will moderate a discussion about Hulu's, The United States vs. Billie Holiday. The film was directed by Academy Award nominee Lee Daniels, with a screenplay written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks. It offers glimpses into the corners of Billie Holiday's story which were overshadowed by the controversy surrounding Lady Day and her untimely death.
