Get Tickets: This program is an active dialogue about wellness through cultural exchange. Guest speakers: world-renowned yogi and body positivity advocate Jessamyn Stanley and world-renowned musician and activist DJ Rekha, will also explore complexities of cultural appreciation and appropriation of African American and Southeast Asian cultural material and practices. The program is made possible through the generous support of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Initiative Funds, and through partial collaboration with the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center. Following the conversation, Jessamyn Stanley will sign her book, EVERY BODY YOGA, which will be available for purchase by Smithsonian Enterprises. Only books will be signed, no printed programs or memorabilia will be signed.
