After victory in World War II, Black veterans continued the fight for freedom at home. History Alive! Coming Home explores stories and artifacts that reflect the economy, health care, education, housing, and political process for military veterans in the aftermath of WWII. Our living history interpreter tells the story of how those engaged in the military made their service useful not only for the good of their country, but to benefit both their personal lives and their community.

Additional Information:  John W. McCaskill brings dynamic public speaking presentations in Washington, DC and across the country.  To authenticate his living history presentations, he adorns period attire for colonial, WWII/Army Air Corps Tuskegee Airmen, and Civil War U.S. Colored Troops, World War I, Reconstruction, Buffalo Soldier, and the 1960’s Civil Rights period.
