Led by a NMAAHC educator, each 45 minute session includes engaging conversations about history and objects from the Museum collection, an interactive story time and an art project. Classroom Connections offers 4 program themes teachers can choose from: Diversity + Unity: Learn how our differences can make us stronger with adventurous museum stories! Community + Celebration: Meet historic communities and celebrate your own. Voices + Change: Discover the power words have to change the world with museum stories about activism! Family + Culture: Learn about and celebrate different kinds of families and cultures. For a quality and engaging educational experience for students, we only allow one class to register per time slot. These programs are designed for classes of 10 to 30 students. If you have less than 10, or more than 30 students, please reach out to NMAAHCEarlyChildhood@si.edu before registering. Classes may join the program via individual devices from home or together from one device as an in-person group. _____________________________________ More information: Registered teachers will receive an email with Zoom information, a list of supplies needed and recommended resources on the Friday before the program. A post-work lesson plan will be emailed after the program.
