Classroom Connections
Designed for: Students K-2nd Grade

About this Program:
Classroom Connections experiences are live virtual school programs designed for Kindergarten, First and Second Grade students and teachers. Led by a NMAAHC educator, each 45 minute session includes engaging conversations about history and objects from the Museum collection, an interactive story time and an art project.

Classroom Connections offers 4 program themes teachers can choose from:

Diversity + Unity: Learn how our differences can make us stronger with adventurous museum stories!
Community + Celebration: Meet historic communities and celebrate your own.
Voices + Change: Discover the power words have to change the world with museum stories about activism!
Family + Culture: Learn about and celebrate different kinds of families and cultures.

For a quality and engaging educational experience for students, we only allow one class to register per time slot. Classes may join the program via individual devices from home or together from one device as an in-person group. Registered teachers will receive an email with Zoom information, a list of supplies needed and recommended resources, and a post-work lesson plan.

Programs may close and reopen, so please check our calendar regularly for rereleased dates.
