Furious Flower Poetry Center at James Madison University, dedicated to ensuring the visibility, inclusion and critical importance of Black poets in American letters, celebrates its 25th anniversary at NMAAHC. The day  includes discussions,  workshops, and a 3:45 performance by the Swazi Poets of South Africa.  Festivities end with readings from 7:30 -9:30 PM featuring 25 of the nation's most esteemed poets including Camille Dungy, Nikki Giovanni, A. Vann Jordan, and Sonia Sanchez. Books will be available for sale and signing courtesy of Smithsonian Enterprises.
