Kearse shares her story of learning her family’s connection to the 4th president and becoming an 8th generation griotte. Bettye Kearse is an author, and essayist, and a former pediatrician and geneticist. She has recently retired to New Mexico after working as a pediatrician in Boston for 31 years.
