Afro-Vegan Cuisine

Chef Kyre is a creative vegan recipe innovator and is passionate about plant-based eating. As a chef, his mission is to positively influence his community to make healthy eating choices. Rochon’s interest in pursuing a culinary career began in high school, when he found himself constantly watching cooking shows. He attended Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta and began his career in the catering field. After working for large Atlanta-area catering companies, such as Bold Events and the Callaway Gardens resort, Rochon relocated to the DMV in 2016 to join Occasions Caterers, one of Washington, D.C.’s most prestigious catering companies. Today, Chef Kyre works as an Executive Chef with Restaurant Associates at the National Museum of American History’s main eatery, Eat at America’s Table.
