The constitution begins with Article II which reads [The object and purpose of this organization is to organize and train the lay members....] before stating objectives a-h. The second page has a history of Bethel A.M.E. Church lay organization from 1941-1990. Committee members are listed on the last page. There is an inscription [554 B] on the reverse. The papers have a crease in the middle from being folded.

The first article begins [NINETY YEAR OF PROGRESS...]. The program is for the eighty-seventh (87th) session of the California Conference of the A.M.E. Church. There are twenty-four (24) pages and a list of patrons on the interior back cover. The reverse is blank.
