He is standing in the far right of the photograph, under a basketball net, wearing a light colored suit, a dark tie, and a white collared shirt. He is holding a white piece of paper in his hand. The speaker is standing behind a long table seated with nine men and women. The table is covered with coffee cups and dessert dishes. Behind the diners is an American flag swag under a basketball net. Overlaying the bottom of the swag is a poster portrait of the founder of Atlanta Life, Alonzo Herndon in three quarters profile. To the left of the portrait is a poster that reads, [ATLANTA / LIFE / NUMBER / 1/ IN ’51], and a poster to the right of the portraits that reads, [CAN YOU IN ’52 / SAY WE WON / IN ’51], with a large pointing fist and a question mark in the center of the poster. To the left of the poster is an elongated Georgia state flag with a circle of stars surrounding a larger star in the canton. To the right of the posters is a partial view of a similar flag. A handwritten note in blue ink on the back identifies the subjects, event and date.

- A black and white photograph of an event held by the Chicago branch of the Atlanta Life Insurance Company. The photograph is of group women and men who are dressed up for a social event. Standing just to the right of the center of the photograph is Fred Toomer, wearing a tweed jacket, medium toned pants, a patterned tie and glasses. Behind him and slightly to the right is Gilbert DeLorme, Sr. Charles W. Greene stands to the far right wearing a light colored suit with a light flower and dark tie. The other men in the photograph are all wearing suits and ties. Three of the women on the left side of the photograph are wearing mink coats and hats. Dr. Henry Leon Lang wears glasses and stands behind a woman wearing a mink coat and holding light colored gloves in her hands. One woman on the far left of the photograph is wearing a dark coat, dark hat and a five stand pearl necklace choker. There is a fern tree in the left foreground. A stamp in purple ink on the back, center identifies the photographer. A handwritten note in blue ink on the back identifies the subjects and location.

Seated on the far left of the photograph is Eugene Martin wearing a white collared shirt with rolled up shirtsleeves, light colored pants and a dark tie. Seated center, left is Fred Armon Toomer, wearing a white shirt and glasses. In the center of the photograph is Gilbert DeLorme, Sr., wearing a white collared shirt with rolled up shirtsleeves, light colored pants, a medium colored patterned tie and glasses. Seated center, right is Dr. Henry Lang, wearing a light collared shirt with rolled up shirtsleeves, light colored pants, a light colored tie and glasses. Norris Herdon is seated on the far right of the photograph with his back to the camera. He is wearing a light collared shirt and light colored pants. There are four brick columns visible in the background. Three of the columns have white capitals with floral-motifs.
