- Description
- Union High School, Frederick A. Doll Award awarded to James Peacock in 1926. The medal consists of a gold toned bar pin holding a red, white, and blue ribbon attached to a silver medal. The pin has “C” clasp closure on the back and a bar that hold the ribbon. The ribbon is crimped to the front of the bar at each corner. Attached to the bottom of the ribbon is an octagonal, silver colored medal held in place with two (2) jump rings. In a circular frame in the center of the obverse of the medal is a relief depiction of an athlete in profile, crouching in a four point start position, and facing the left edge of the medal. A laurel wreath frames the runner. A scroll and a shield below the runner has engraved text that reads [ATHLETICS] and [1926]. The center of the reverse of the medal is inscribed [FREDERICK A. DOLL / AWARD / · U · H · S · / JAMES PEACOCK]. Along the bottom edge is a stamped maker’s mark for Dieges & Clust, an eagle’s head in profile above three spearhead shaped banners with the text [D], [&], and [C] stamped inside each banner. Below is the text, [STERLING / DIEGES & CLUST].

- Description
- Union High School Most Valuable Player medal awarded to Eulace Peacock in 1932. The medal is clover shaped, bronze colored, and has a round bezel attached to a jump ring. In the center of the obverse of the medal is a relief depiction of a male football player in full length and facing the viewer. The football player is depicted mid-run with his proper right arm extended at his side and a football tucked under his proper left arm. He is wearing a football uniform and helmet with ear guards and a chin strap. In the background is a goal post and a grassy field. A relief banner above the football player’s head is inscribed with the text [U.H.S.]. On the reverse of the medal, engraved in the center, is text that reads [E. PEACOCK / L.H.B. / CHOSEN / MOST VAUABLE PLAYER / TO HIS TEAM / 1932 / CLASS B CHAMPS]. Along the bottom edge is a stamped maker’s mark that reads, [BRONZE / W [o inside a larger O]].
