The cover of the magazine shows a collage of black and white photographic portraits of men and women printed against a blue tinted band on the top third, a white band in the middle, and a red tinted band on the bottom third. There is an image of four (4) buttons in the top left that read [DELEGATE / 1972]. The buttons are black, green, and/or red with white text. White text in a black box at the bottom right reads [PLEASE TURN TO PAGES DEVOTED TO YOUR CONVENTION].
- The magazine’s content opens with an article titled “365 Days of Black Politics or the Awakening of a Black Giant,” about the Black Convention held in Gary, Indiana and the organization of the Black Assembly. There is also a masthead reading [DELEGATE 1972 / The Anthology and Voice of the Black Convention] and a table of contents.
- The content continues with articles and profiles of African American business organizations, business leaders, community organizations, sororities, fraternities, doctors, dentists, actors, journalists and politicians. - This painting depicts a large mass of abstract human and animal figures rendered in simple brushstrokes. Human figures and horses are aligned in rows, with a burial ground of headstones and crosses through the center. The figures are formed in a series of curving line brushstrokes of black, grey, yellow, and red against a red and yellow background. On the far side of the burial ground, figures on horseback surround an animal figure resembling a buffalo. In the foreground are four dark forms resembling hte back of heads, necks, and shoulders. These heads are surrounded by yellow halos. The top left corner of the fiberboard is missing.

- A pair of Nike cleats worn and signed by Jerry Rice. The cleats are mostly white with red and black accents and white laces. The outsole and insole sides of both cleats have large red Nike Swoosh symbols. The backs of both cleats have a smaller Swoosh symbol and [NIKE] sewn on in red. The tongues of both cleats have [Jerry Rice] sewn on the outside and [80] sewn on the inside. Jerry Rice's autograph [Jerry Rice / #80] in black marker is on the outsole side of both cleats near the toe. [SB / XXIX] is handwritten in black marker on the insole side of both cleats near the toe. The interior of the cleats are fabric and have white text on the insole side near the upper edge. The text in the left cleat (2016.66.1a) reads: [8 / 96 / 12 1/2 / 2897]. The text in the right cleat (2016.66.1b) reads: [12 1/2 / 2897]. The heels of the interior have been worn. The bottom of the cleats are black and white they have a black background and a white accent down the middle. [NIKE] is printed near the toe. There are 14 spikes on the bottom of each cleat.

Ali successfully took the Commission to court, claiming discrimination in violation of his rights under the Equal Protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. This photograph documents his time in the 5th Street Gymnasium in 1971, soon after his license was reinstated. According to Miami sports journalist Roy Firestone, Ali was training for his March 8, 1971 match against Joe Frazier at Madison Square Garden that was billed as “The Fight of the Century.”
