- A paperback, signed, first edition, seventh printing of Homegirls & Handgrenades by Sonia Sanchez. The front cover of the book is red with a centrally-featured illustration of an encircled magenta and black floral pattern. Surrounding the circle is a darker red border. Above and below the circle is black text that reads [SONIA / SANCHEZ / homegirls / & / handgrenades]. The back cover of the book is red and features in the center a small black-and-white photograph of the author in profile view, holding her fingers to her lips. Above and below the photograph are three endorsements of Homegirls & Handgrenades and Sonia Sanchez. - A first edition, hardcover book with dust jacket, In Pursuit of Flavor by Edna Lewis. The dust jacket features a full cover image of the author in a market surrounded by different varieties of fruits and vegetables. She is holding a basket in her proper right hand and smelling a yellow pear with her proper left hand. Lewis is wearing a red patterned dress and has her hair pulled back in a bun. At the top of the front dust jacket is a green banner with yellow text with purple detailing that reads [EDNA LEWIS]. Along the right side are yellow call-outs with red and purple text that reads [IN / PURSUIT / OF / FLAVOR / 200 wonderful-tasting / American dishes—old-fashioned / country recipes and new ideas— / along with Edna Lewis's secrets / for getting the best flavor / from the foods available today]. The back of the dust jacket features three endorsements of Lewis’s books and a printed barcode. The front cover of the book is yellow. It features an illustration in dark red ink of the author preparing food on a counter top with some photographs hanging on the wall behind her. The back cover is a continuation of the front cover illustration depicting jugs, containers, and cooking utensils on a countertop. Above the countertop a spice rack on the right and a glass-front cabinet with food items stored inside on the left. - This folio continuity script for "Cotton Comes to Harlem" is from the 1970 film based on the Chester Himes' novel of the same name. The pages are mimeographed leaves bound in a black pressboard binder with a metal prong clasp. The front cover has a central white rectangular label with rounded edges that reads [COTTON COMES TO HARLEM / United Artists - 1970 / A.Perl, O.Davis/O.Davis]. There is an adhesive label on the upper spine that reads [COTTON COMES TO HARLEM]. The reverse of the binder has two anchoring holes for the interior metal prong. The script is held to the binder with a metal prong on the center left side and the 143 pages are connected together by a separate top center metal clasp.

- Hardcover copy of "Art of Far Lands" with 323 pages of text. The publication has a red and white fabric binding with a dragon design inside of a floral border. This pattern and border covers both the front and back covers and the spine. There is no book jacket. The endpapers inside the covers have a different dragon pattern from the exterior binding. This endpaper pattern is primarily red with multi-color details. The reverse of the front cover has a black and white bookplate with three images of Lois Mailou Jones that reads [LOIS JONES / PIERRE-NOEL / EX LIBRIS]. There is some wear on the spine. There is a handwritten inscription inside the book.

The front cover has brown printed text in the center left which reads [GRAPHIC / DESIGN] with a linear design between the two words. The spine has [GRAPHIC / DESIGN / FRIEND / HEFTER] with the title and authors separated by three horizontal lines. The back cover has a grouping of several brown printed horizontal lines in the center which run from the spine to the opposite edge. The green binding is faded with some loss on the edges. The reverse of the front cover has a sticker for [barna MAIPU 441/ BUENOS AIRES] in the upper left corner. The half title page has a black and white bookplate with three images of Lois Mailou Jones which reads [LOIS JONES / PIERRE-NOEL / EX LIBRIS]. The book has a handwritten inscription. A purchase slip from alejandro barna é hijo libreria was found between the pages of this book and is available in the catalog file.

The front cover has black printed text which reads [LIBRARIES / JOSEPH GIBERT] above handwritten text [DESIGN] and printed text [S 250 8° Rais.]. Below this there is a central paragraph of French text that begins [LIBRAIRIE CLASSIQUE / livres d'enseignement...]. At the bottom of the front of the wrapper is the address [30, BOULEVARD St-MICHEL, 26 / A L'ANGLE DES RUES / RACINE, ÉCOLE DE MÉDECINE, P. SARRAZIN]. There is an orange dot and line design above and below the title on the upper part of the spine. The spine is heavily torn with areas of loss. Only the second half of each word of the title is visible. The back cover has an image and text advertising [JOSEPH GIBERT / LIBRAIRIE GENERALE]. This design is repeated on the back flap of the book jacket. The interior flap of the front cover has black printed text in French that begins [SERVICE D'ACHATS...]. A color title page is inserted behind the front flap and has handwritten inscriptions. The back cover has the same orange dot and bar design from the spine with [Les petit-fils de Plon et Nourrit / Imprimeurs - Éditeurs / 8, RUE GARACIÈRE - PARIS] in the center. The books has handwritten inscriptions.
