On the left are three men inside of a barn. The man farthest left sits in profile, playing the violin. The man in the middle is sitting facing the viewer, and the third man is standing in profile leaning against the edge of the barn door. Outside of the barn, on the right side, a black man stands with his back against the barn door. He is staring downwards, holding his hat in his proper right hand, with his proper right leg crossing his left at the ankles.
