This photograph (.1) and program (.2) featuring the same photograph depict Rev. John B. Randolph and the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Haddonfield, New Jersey. The photograph shows Randolph standing in front of a studio backdrop of a column and flowers. He wears a dark-colored three-piece suit, a dark bowtie, a pocket watch, and holds a key in his right hand. His right arm is bent at the elbow and he stands with his body turned to the left but his face directly at the camera. On the reverse a handwritten inscription erroneously identifies him as Rev. Theodore O. Randolph.
The program (.2) features a print of the same photograph at the center front with text above and below, including his correct name identified in type below the photograph. The interior pages of the program contain the schedule of events for October 25, 1925, celebrating the remodeling of the church. A print of a drawing of the church on the back page indicates a "new cornice" and a "future spire." The program is printed all in black, and is formed from a single sheet of paper folded in half vertically to make four pages.
A letter from Rev. John B. Randolph (.1) and a photomechanical print of a photograph of Randolph (.2). The letter is written on pre-printed letterhead that features a design along the top third of the page with the text "EVERLASTING AND EVER AT IT WILL BRING SUCCESS / TO ALL HONEST ENDEAVORS" above three (3) black-and-white prints of photographs featuring the exterior of the Metropolitan Baptist Church, the pastor, and the church's pipe organ. The photo prints are inside printed borders with ornate scrollwork designs around them. The letter has been pre-printed just below the photos with "PHILADELPHIA, PA. ........ 190...." with text written by Randolph regarding delinquent taxes on a property. A reply has been written in the lower left corner that the tax payments for the property are up to date. The reverse is blank.
15.2 A photomechanical print of a photograph of Rev. John B. Randolph, the same one featured at the center of the letterhead of .1. He stands in front of a forest backdrop and wears a shirt with rolled cuffs. He has a felt hat and holds a shovel in front of him. The reverse is blank.
