The Young Historians Institute is a rigorous weeklong program hosted by the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) for rising high school students in grades 10 to 12. Students will focus on exploring and practicing the historical thinking skills that define the life and work of professional historians.

The Power of the Written Word: NMAAHC Teen Writing & Literature Institute will expose teen participants to classic pieces of African American literature, hone critical literature analysis and strengthen writing skills as teens respond to discussion questions.
