- Description
- A brown velvet and cream knit dress with silver and gold beading and sequins designed by Peter Davy. The dress is sleeveless with a high neck and a standing collar. The collar, upper front bodice, and hips are made from a low pile brown velvet. The front side waist and back bodice are made from a cream synthetic knit fabric. A full skirt with a high-low hem reaching below the knee in the front and to the floor in the back is made from the cream knit fabric. Lines of gold and silver sequins are sewn onto the brown velvet front bodice and hips, emanating from a large stylized floral burst of gold and silver beads and sequins sewn at the center front waist. Four (4) smaller stylized floral clusters of gold and silver beads are sewn across the upper portion of the brown velvet on the back of the dress. A row of sequins and beads trims the arm openings and the standing collar. The dress closes at the proper left side seam below the arm to the hip with a cream metal and plastic zipper. Two (2) gold thread loops are sewn to the proper left front side of the standing collar, likely for fastening hooks that are no longer present on the proper left back side collar.
- The dress is not lined and there are no labels.
