- Description
- A pair of multicolor pumps with black rhinestones worn by Ethel Waters. The pumps are made of silk satin with warp dyed threads that create a purple, pink, black and brown watercolor pattern. They have a pointed toe box with a small circle cut out on the outer edge of each shoe vamp. The cut out has a border made of black glass rhinestones that continue outwards to create flourishes on each side. The pumps have thin heels with rubber heel caps with a brown leather sole and a metal toe tap at each underside. Black faux leather is used as a lining up to the heel, while the remaining area is lined with cream faux suede. A seam is placed at the counter of each shoe. Each shoe has a self-fabric insole with buckram on the underside. A layer of nonwoven padding is placed beneath each insole. The text [Mr. Seymour] is stamped in metallic gold on the top of each insole. The text [ 6 ½ B 638] is debossed on the proper right shoe along the faux suede lining.
