Description
A red and white cotton eyelet dress. The dress is made of white cotton eyelet also known as broderie anglaise stitched with red cotton thread. The dress is sleeveless and has a V neckline with a rounded point. Ruffled eyelet trim with scalloped edges finished with red thread is stitched to the neckline and armscyes. There is an inverted V shaped panel that starts under the bustline and ends at the waist, it’s point at the top aligns with the center front seam. Hip panels are stitched to the bottom of the waistline, starting at a point at the center and curving outwards five inches below the waistline at the side seams. The same trim used at the bodice of the dress is stitched to the edges of the hip panels. The dress has a straight fitted silhouette but flairs out at the knees from the four added godets at the front. The dress opens on the proper left side starting at the bottom of the armscye and ending below the waistline with seven metal snaps and one metal hook and eye. The back has a low straight neckline and thinner straps then at the front. The curved hip panels at the front continue straight across on the back. Three godets are placed at the back of the dress. The dress is made with mostly machine stitches. Cotton organdy seam binding is hand tacked at the neckline and armscyes. Cream synthetic ribbon is basted to the back of the waistline at the interior. The dress is unlined and has a label along the proper left side seam that reads [A Registered ORIGINAL DESIGN WITH FASHION ORIGINATORS GUILD].
