- Description
- A brown fur felt cloche with a downward sloping brim (a). The hat’s crow is short and rounded, fitting close to the head. The brim of the hat and the crown are machine stitched together. The side of the fur that has more nap is used for the brim of the hat while the reverse side is used for the crown. The brim at the back of the hat is shorter than in the front and sides. A cotton grosgrain ribbon is hand stitched along the interior circumference of the hat. Red cotton thread is sewn with long running stitches along the grosgrain ribbon with a knot at the center back of the hat. The hat has a detached label that reads [MR. John Junior] in black and red script (b).
