- Description
- A cream fur felt cloche. The hat is made from one piece of blocked fur felt. The fur on the exterior has been brushed giving it a fuzzy texture. The top of the crown is flat and slightly rounded. The crown and the brim of the hat fit closely to the head. The brim of the hat tapers outwards at the bottom. There is a gathering stitch that runs along the interior of the hat at the brim for shaping. The edge of the brim is folded inward over a hidden metal wire. A tan petersham ribbon is machine stitched along the edge of the brim at the interior. The ribbon hides the edge of the felt and shaping wire. There are two labels at the center back of the hat. The first label is white and reads [PARIS Gibbé Hat NEW YORK]. The second label reads [22]. There is a stamped label at the top of the crown at the interior that reads [Merri Soie].
