Description
A white satin hat with a rhinestone bow (a). The hat is blocked in a pillbox shape variation and is created using two pieces of viscose, one for the crown and one for the side of the hat. The crown is short and fits closely to the head. The sides of the hat are slightly extended and come to a point by the ears. Twenty-one glass rhinestones joined in a metal setting in the shape of a bow are tacked to the center front of the hat. The raw edges of the satin viscose rayon are folded under at the crown and bottom edge of the hat. The interior is lined with white buckram and a synthetic plain weave lining is adhered over buckram at the crown. A black petersham rayon ribbon inner band is attached with two rows of machine stitching to the interior. A strip of buckram is folded behind the petersham ribbon and machine stitched to ribbon and hat. The hat has a matching metal hat pin with a faux white pearl (b).
