- Description
- A black, wool, diamond shaped pillbox hat with a black, lace veil that begins at the top center front and ends in a bow-like shape at the center back. There is a center seam that goes from the front to the back of the hat. The interior of the hat is unlined and a black Petersham ribbon is sewn along the interior crown. Stitched to the center back over the Petersham ribbon is an orange fabric tag that reads [Franklin Simon’s Fifth Avenue, New York.] To the right of the fabric tag is a blue and white union label that reads [New York Creation//22]. The verso of the union tag has a series of numbers along the left side that read [67(8?)733//Mfd. Under Fair Labor Standards//Consumers Protection Label]
