- Description
- A pink wool felt skullcap (a) with a detachable pink feather brim (b). The pink skullcap has a slightly raised crown and a pink Petersham ribbon binds the brim of the hat. The interior of the felt hat is unlined. Elastic is looped through the proper right and left of the hat through the Petersham ribbon binding and is anchored at its ends with steel aglets. There is a yellow fabric tag stitched to the center back that reads Hélene. French Milliner. Washington, D.C.] in black text.
- The base of the detachable brim (b) is made from pink wool felt and has synthetic pink feathers glued around the entire surface. Milliner’s wire is sewn along the bottom edge of the brim.
