Eight flowers made from purple, gold, maroon, and lavender, polyester velvet fabric are backed with paper, and adhered to the outer surface of the crown. A hatband made from a purple Petersham ribbon is sewn where the crown and brim meet. A bow made from purple Petersham ribbon is handstitched to the center front of the hat. Long, red Ostrich feathers are glued along the outer edge of the brim. A magenta polyester knit fabric lines the underside of the brim and a red Petersham ribbon is sewn along the interior crown.
