The base of the hat is constructed from a buckram and non-fusible interface base, which is covered with a “cut and sew pattern”. The hat structure consists of a tall crown, a circular top, and a foldable brim. The hat exterior features a wax print that pattern that has a large-scale checkerboard print with alternating squares of a black swirl patterns against a dark brown background and black mask motifs against an orange background. A gold metallic dashed line separates each of the squares. The hat brim extends 3” from the crown at all sides. It’s constructed from two pieces joined together at the proper left and proper right. The brim underside is covered with the same large-scale checkerboard pattern as the exterior. Black synthetic silk faille lines the hat interior. There is no label.
