A black hat with four panels seamed together across the top in an X formation. Each panel is composed of black corded material densely arranged in a triangular pattern. There is one spot on the top of the hat where the outer material has been worn away due to abrasion, exposing a light brown material. The inside of the hat is black, unlined, and has no label. There are black stitches on the inside that correspond to the placement of the outer cord. A black woven ribbon goes around the inner band.
