- Description
- A red hat with a beaded flower and an orange hat band. The base of the hat is made of buckram. The brim and the crown are made of separate pieces that are hand stitched together. The crown of the hat is short and rounded, it is made of a red synthetic velveteen. A pleated orange rayon cotton blended petersham ribbon is tacked to the base of the crown. The ribbon is decoratively looped and folded at the center back of the hat with two strands that extend off the of the brim that are cut at an angle. The top of the brim is made of synthetic faille. The edge and the underside of the brim are made of the same red velveteen as the crown of the hat. A flower made of folded red rayon petersham ribbon is tacked to the center front of the hat at the edge of the brim. Faux plastic pearls and glass sea beads are stitched to the front of the flower. On the inside of the hat the crown is lined with red synthetic faille. Two metal wire grips wrapped in orange rayon petersham rayon ribbon are inserted at the base of the crown at the interior.
