Description
A pair of painted cream jeans with cut outs and slashes. The straight leg jeans are slightly tapered at the bottoms. The jeans open in the in center front with a metal tack button and zipper. The button is embossed with the text [LEVI STRAUSS & CO. CAL SF]. The waistband has four belt loops at the front, three of the belt loops are painted blue. Two pockets are placed on each side of the hips. The front and back sides of the jeans have been cut to create holes and openings. The holes are made by cutting out and removing parts of the denim, leaving geometric shaped holes. The larger openings are created by vertical and horizontal cuts in the denim, resulting in rectangular and triangular flaps. Some of the flaps have been further cut into smaller strips. The holes at the bottom of the proper right leg are finished with hand stitched orange thread. Paint in yellow, orange, blue, and purple is splattered and brushed across the surface of the pants. In addition, white glitter paint is applied on the exterior. Blue glitter paint is used on the bottoms of both pant legs to write [AUBU 1989]. Metal safety pins are applied on the front and back of the pants to hold some of the cut flaps open. There are three belt loops and two pockets on the back of the jeans. The front side pockets are lined in cream cotton. A woven fabric label stitched on the proper left pocket lining reads [LEVI'S // STA-PREST // NEVER NEEDS IRONING] in blue text. A small manufacturers label is stitched to the interior proper left side seam.
