- Description
- A pink and silver brocade jacket with frog closures. The jacket is made of peach silk satin brocade with silver metallic threads creating bamboo leaf patterning. The Mandarin style jacket has a band collar and opens in the center front. Three self-fabric frog closures are hand stitched to each side of the center front opening with loops on the proper right side and Chinese button knots on the proper left side. The three-quarter length kimono style sleeves have a dart at the bottom of the underarm and at the top of the shoulder. Cuffs are folded and unstitched at the edge of the sleeves. Wide pockets on each side of the center front opening extend across the full width of the hem. The pockets are six and a half inches long, aligning with the width of jacket’s side slits. The back of the jacket has a center back seam and two darts at the top of the shoulders. The inside of the jacket is lined with white silk and is self-faced along the edge of the center front opening, slide slits, and the collar. There is a small fabric label stitched at the jacket’s interior at the bottom of the neckline which reads [PURE SILK / HAND WASH / S].
