- Description
- A red and white dress with sequin and lace embellishments designed by Peter Davy. The bodice of the dress has a V-neck front and high rounded back neckline and a dropped waist. The waistline is cut on a diagonal with the proper right side being longer than the proper left side. The bodice is made from red synthetic fabric overlaid in red machine-made synthetic net lace in a floral design. Lines of red sequins are sewn over the lace in a vermicelli pattern. There are short fluttery sleeves made from gathered white synthetic sheer fabric. This same fabric is gathered and sewn at the waist to form a full skirt. One (1) large white bow made from the white synthetic fabric and decorated with a strip of red sequins is sewn at the waistline at the proper right back side. The dress closes at the center back with a red metal and plastic zipper.
- The upper front bodice is lined in self-fabric with a piece of boning sewn inside the lining in the center of each side of the bust. A piece of synthetic white tulle is gathered and sewn at the interior shoulder of each fluttery sleeve. The lower skirt has an attached petticoat also made from synthetic white tulle. A white fabric label with black printed text is sewn at the interior proper left back bodice that reads, "An Original / by / Peter Davy" with three (3) black diamonds down the proper left side of the label.
