- Description
- 1/6 plate daguerreotype portrait of a man with a beard and paisley vest with gilt highlighting in a thermoplastic case. The man is pictured seated, center frame, with his proper right elbow bent and resting on a cloth-covered table. The table also holds a small vase of flowers. The man looks straight ahead at the camera. The daguerreotype is in a thermoplastic case manufactured by Littlefield, Parsons & Co. with gold colored oval framing around the photo and a red velvet lining. The case is most likely not the photograph's original presentation.
