Black and white image of Mary Coley and Martha Sapp. Coley, on the left half of the image, wears a white nurses' cap and light-colored dress. She is pursing her lips and looks down at Sapp laying in bed. Her proper left hand is lifted above the waist and rests near Sapp's right knee. Sapp, taking up the lower third of the image, is covered in a sheet with her feet and shins exposed. On her right foot is a white sock. Her head is near the bottom right corner and she is seen with eyes closed and her left hand covering her mouth. The bed's headboard is on the right third of the image and is in shadow.
