- Description
- Black and white image of Mary Coley and Martha Sapp walking adjacent to the camera down a dirt street lined with houses. The woman on the left, Mary Coley, wears a light-colored dress and jacket with dark shoes and hat. She carries a bag, obscured by her jacket, in her proper left hand. The other woman, Martha Sapp, who is pregnant, wears a dark geometric patterned skirt with a dark patterned jacket and scarf wrapped around her head. Behind her is another woman, walking in the opposite direction, partially obscured. To the right of Sapp is another woman seated on the stairs of a porch holding a child in her lap. The child is wrapped in a light-colored blanket and white hat. Next to the woman and child is a dog, resting on the porch. Behind the woman on the far left is a bare tree. Additional trees and foliage are in the background behind the houses, as seen in the upper left quadrant. On the back, along the bottom of the backing paper is a label for the framer. The label is embossed in gold with patterns on the bottom and right. [ATTITUDE EXACT/Gallery/Custom Conservation Framing/202-546-7186/739 8th Street, S.E. / Capitol Hill 20003].
