Description
Black and white image of several rows of women seated, all wearing midwife uniforms. In the foreground are three (3) women in the first row of the image. The woman on the far left wears a light-colored, short-sleeved dress with a light-colored cap. She is seen looking down at her lap. Next to her are two (2) women talking closely with each other. The woman in the middle, Mary Coley, wears a dark colored dress with a white collar and cuffs. Coley also wears a white apron and white nurses' cap. In her lap is a black purse. Her proper left arm, resting on top of a chair back, is wrapped around the shoulders of the woman seated to her right. The woman on the right leans into the woman on her left. She wears a dark colored dress with a brooch attached to her collar. She also wears an apron and white cap. She holds in her lap a black purse with hands clasped. Behind the front row of women in the image, are additional women wearing similar clothes and uniforms. One woman, seated on the right side of the image behind the front row of women, looks at the women talking in together. She wears a dark dress with a white apron and white cap. On top of the image, in the center, behind all the woman is a table with baby two (2) baby dolls resting against the table and wall behind.
