Behind Coley an older woman stands, wearing a dark shirt with a light-colored floral pattern. In the foreground, a girl and an infant are seated at the table. The girl is holding a fork with food, about to take a bite. In her proper left hand is a piece of food. She wears a dark jacket with a plaid shirt underneath. The infant next to her wears a bib and has a bow in her hair. The profile of a man is visible along the right side foreground of the image, seated at the table next to the baby. In the background on the right side, is a shelving unit with dishes on the three shelves. In the upper left is a window. On the far left side a door and doorknob can be seen.
