- Description
- A US military World War II Victory service medal awarded to Lorenzo A. DuFau, who served in the US Navy. The medal is round and depicts an allegorical figure of Liberation with the text "World War II" flanking her legs on the front and the text "FREEDOM / FROM FEAR AND WANT / FREEDOM OF SPEECH / AND RELIGION" encircled by the text "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / 1941 1945". The medal hangs on a metal loop from a ribbon of a wide center red stripe surrounded by thin rainbow stripes. A locking pin back is adhered to the back of the ribbon.
