A black-and-white photograph of E.S. Northrup smashing a bottle of champagne on the stern of the S.S. Harriet Tubman in the ceremonial christening of the ship. The photograph is mounted on a black paper page of a bound photograph album commemorating the event owned by Harriet Tubman's niece, Eva Stewart Northrup.
