- Description
- A Spanish-language printed Register of Slaves form [2508] for an enslaved person identified as Julian Charó, completed with handwritten black ink and affixed with a stamp. The heading reading [REGISTRO DE ESCLAVOS] is cut off at the top. The document is made up of two columns of typed and handwritten text. On the right is information regarding the enslaved person and the enslaver, identified as [Antonio Fernánd[ez] Vanga]. On the left is a column headed [FILIACION], listing physical descriptors of Julian Charó. Between the two columns is a narrow divider reading [REGISTRO DE ESCLAVOS - ISLA DE PUERTO RICO] in decorative printed text. The document is dated [19 de Marzo de 1871] and there are three signatures along the bottom.
