The sixth-plate daguerreotype is held in a wood and leather case with velvet lining and sits under a mat with a stamp reading [WASHINGTON] on the bottom left corner. On the back of the case is embossed: [WASHINGTON / 136 / GALLERY / MAIN ST / HARTFORD].
