Description
A brass tabletop anniversary clock with a glass dome used in Mae's Millinery Shop. The body of the clock (a) is a circular stepped brass base. The face of the clock is white with black painted numbers, with a red floral scalloped vine inside the numbers and black metal hands. The face and the clock mechanism behind it are supported on two brass legs extending from the front part of the base. The face is housed inside a brass frame with three (3) brass finials above the face. A brass torsion pendulum (b) with four (4) brass balls attached to curved spokes extends below the mechanism housing. A glass dome (c) fits over the clock and sits on the base above the stepped bottom. The importer's name and place are engraved on the back of the mechanism housing and black text reading "MADE IN GERMANY" is printed along the bottom edge of the clock face.
