- Description
- This is a maquette for a memorial to the eleven million victims of the Transatlantic Slave Trade that the artist hopes to have erected in Washington, D.C. Formed in bronze in the shape of the letter 'H' this sculpture consists of two tall obelisks connected by a coiled spool of chain. The chain is partially unwound to create a puddle of chain on the ground. The sides of the pillars have abstract sculpted and carved forms on them.
