- This document is from a collection of financial papers related to the plantation operations of several generations of the Rouzee Family in Essex County, Virginia. The papers date from the 1790s through 1860.
- Description
- This handwritten one page, double-sided document is titled "Slaves Belonging to E. Westmore / for June 1860." On one side of the document is a list men's first names and their ages, with dark diagonal slash marks crossing out last names and birthdates. A few names have additional notes of "Mulatto" or "Indian." There are 25 men total. The other side of the document is titled "Women + female Children" and lists 32 names and ages, with dark diagonal slash marks crossing out last names and birth dates. A few names have additional notes of "Mulatto" or "Indian."
