- Description
- A throw rug from the Rock Rest Tourist Home. The rectangular pink throw rug has a green band around the edges and white fringe at the two short ends. There are designs depicting military items including grenades, a submachine gun, handguns, jeeps, tanks, and helicopters woven into the short pile rug. Between the military designs are repeating daisies with solid or multicolor petals in planters, quatrefoils, X marks, and crosses. The designs are woven in reds, tans, browns, yellows, and blues set against a mauve pink background. The black-outlined green band around the edges is accented with a row of repeating daisy heads with multicolor petals. The white fringe on the short ends is knotted. The backing is a tufted reverse image of the front design.
